Denise Clason has been a designer for a very long time, since before she was 10 years old, she was designing her own doll clothes and ever since then she knew that she would be working and designing with fabric the rest of her life.

At the age of 16, Denise had her own sewing and alterations business. She enjoyed sewing for others. Which included men's shirts, slacks, suits, wedding and bridesmaids dresses.

Denise branched out later on and started quilting and is, now,  a licensed and published author. Her books and booklets are available on this blog, as well as Krause (wholesale orders), and many other places online. She has been an author since 1995. Denise created and licensed her own quilt and fruit button design's, called "Stitchin' up the Pieces" licensed by JHB International.

  1. Hi Denise! Do you think I could use my Cricut to do an Etchall project?

    1. Yes, you can use the cricut to cut out the vinyl for etching! That is what I did.

  2. Denise, I got my heart-themed mug rug in the mail today and I just swooned; it was even prettier in person! I must admit I won't be using it for a mug rug, but instead it is going on my sewing room wall for inspiration and just because I like looking at it. Thanks again! :)

    1. You are so cute! I hope you use it sometimes, it's meant to be used and washed. I'm glad you got it so quickly! Enjoy it!

  3. Denise, I purchased "The Quilter-Holiday 2013". I have the pattern and instructions for the 'mug rug'. I tore out this pattern from my magazine and threw the rest out. It looks like I forgot to tear out the patterns for the appliques. Would you be able to send me those patterns or do I have to buy another magazine?? ghindmarsh@shaw.ca
